How to Keep Your Cat Away From the Counter

By giving your cat plenty of places to explore and exercise their natural climbing instincts, you can help redirect their attention away from the counter.

2. Make the counter less appealing: Cats are more likely to jump on the counter if they find it interesting or rewarding. To discourage your cat from jumping on the counter, try making the surface less appealing. This can include removing any food or treats from the counter, covering the counter with a sheet or towel, or placing double-sided tape on the surface.
